National Equipment Register, Inc. (NER) announces that with the successful implementation of a tailor-made database, the hiring of specialized operators, and the publication of a toll-free number for law enforcement, it is ‘open for business’.
Through NER’s partnership with ISO, NER can now download historical heavy equipment loss reports and continuously receive new losses whenever a member insurer reports a loss to ISO ClaimSearch®. No additional reporting is required.
NER operators, with backgrounds in the insurance and equipment industries, have already begun verifying and searching against details of new and historical losses from member insurance companies such as Cincinnati Insurance.
In October 2001, thousands of law enforcement officials throughout the United States will receive an informational mailing advising that an essential tool in identifying stolen equipment is now available. A toll-free number allows law enforcement to call on NER’s services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
NER will continue to develop and expand its core services, and by the end of 2001, plans to have developed secure online theft reporting for equipment owners, insurance companies, fleet managers, and law enforcement.
